Blog Post #11: BBG ch 10 Assembling a Multi Genre Project

According to the Bedford Book of Genres, before you start you start on your multi genre project you have to first consider how you plan to further your purpose, reach your audience and use rhetorical appeals to your advantage. I consider reaching your audience one of the more important aspects because it determines what kind of media project you are going to end up doing. Now onto the steps of creating your media project. Step one introduce your project and its context: this should be a one to two page brief explanation for your rationale of sequences of your genre pieces. Onto step two sequence your genre pieces: do this in a way that makes sense to the audience. For example, if you’re trying to take action on something start by highlighting the problems and end with a solution. Step three speaks for itself create a title that is relevant to what your presenting. Step four Create an author’s statement, which discusses your research, explains your choices and essentially evaluates your project overall. Step five make it creative because there really isn’t any boundaries as to what you can do with your multi genre project.
