When reading the article “Consider the Lobster” it gave me a lot of information that I didn’t know about lobsters. I would consider this article to be a form of research paper because they are explaining the ins and outs of the Maine Lobster Festival. They also went on to explain the history and how people protest the festival each year because they believe boiling lobsters alive are inhumane. The only way that it didn’t appear as a research paper was because in the beginning it seemed to start off more on a personal note making it seem as if they were just going to tell about their experience. But the article then took a turn and went to more serious note talking about the history of lobsters and how a lobster’s anatomy works. For example according to the article lobsters were considered a low class food that was only eaten by the poor up until like the 1800s. So overall this article I believe is strong representation of a form of research paper.
