When writing anything for others to read you have to start somewhere. People don’t just start off writing award winning novels on the first try, it takes several tries. According to Anne Lamott, “The first draft is the child's draft, where you let it all pour out and then let it romp all over the place, knowing that no one is going to see it and that you can shape it later.” So when you first begin writing you shouldn’t worry about if something doesn’t sound right you should just get all the information out of your head and onto paper. This is because you will never know whether or not it’s a good idea if you can’t even remember it.
