When I went to Sweet Shop for feedback on my rough draft for Project 1 I felt as though I had a good start but still needed some guidance. I knew for sure that my rough draft needed some grammar editing because I had just been typing what came to my mind. Wenzel said that I was on the right path but I needed to add more details but about the events and create more clarity among what is going on throughout the essay. Also of course he mentioned that the grammar needed some work which I knew of course so he said to visit the RWC.

When I went to my conference about my research paper (Project 2)  I expected him to say that my whole essay needed to be redone because someone in my group had said they had to rewrite their paper since they had no text. I was worried because I did not really have any idea of what a text could be for my essay. I assumed that the text that I had come up with was too small to write about. So when I went Wenzel said that I had a good idea for a text and that I could also write add another text or two if needed. Also he said I could turn my essay into a media project almost and add pictures od do something like a website. So im for sure going to add pictures to help sow what im talking about and im thinking about the website idea.

So project three had a very interesting twist on it. I already knew I was going to do a website because I had already went and put my essay from project 2 on there. So all I had to do was go back and add some photos and ways to get to my other media genres. I originally decided to do a website, video, and then a tshirt. I couldn’t though because I ended up not going home to make the video and the tshirt just didn’t happen. So instead I just decided to do a flyer and create a social media account, which was Instagram.

Overall this class was really interesting and had many ups and downs. The hardest project by far had to be the research paper because it wasn’t like any normal research paper. You didn’t give any true specific instructions, therefore you could do with it what you will for the most part. The easiest project was project one because you were simply telling a narrative about yourself and I personally love to talk about myself and share my point of view. Project three based on my group was hard if you didn’t have the right topic but my topic of spaying and neutering was pretty simple for this project. The class though did open my eyes as to grey of an area that genre can be and how there is no true way to capture it all in one semester. So I still don’t know what genre is completely but I do know more about it than I did before I started this class.
